Congratulations! You have completed a Model UN conference, perhaps done very well in it and are now coming back for another semester of Model UN. Welcome back!
There is a tendency for some students who have completed a semester of Model UN to believe that they have mastered all the skills and have little to learn from another class. But our experience is that your second and third, maybe even fourth, time doing Model UN can teach you advanced skills in diplomatic practice.
In this unit, we aim to teach you more advanced Model UN skills, specifically by having you think about the diplomatic vocation, managing tensions within your own delegation and wrestling with the moral complexities of difficult country assignments.
